Getabout is able to conduct a one day comprehensive package which covers the following;

o Trailer Dimensions;
o Types of Hitches;
o Loads and loading;
o Driving techniques; handling characteristics towing a trailer;
o Braking techniques with trailers;
o Turning and parking trailers;
o Reversing and parking trailers using guides, mirrors and use of low range;
o Carry out vehicle and trailer pre & post trip inspections.

The towing course has been developed to enable the understanding of the relationship between car and trailer. We will progressively build the knowledge and skills so that the trainees will be able to use the trailers in a variety of situations with confidence.
Trainees can share a number of vehicles, each driver would be given ample practical experience. The course is designed to be very practical and hands on so it is suggested that each course have a maximum of 10 trainees. We will have a minimum of two instructors.

Vehicles provided by your organisation need to be supplied with the trailer and equipment that the drivers would normally be using so they can be instructed in the correct use and management of that equipment. Getabout will also provide comprehensive training material.

We have training areas in a number of regions which include a training room, a large area away from the general public, with ample space for driving and reversing of the trailers. This intensive course can be offered on dates to suit your organisation. The course can also be conducted on your site. The assessment process combines a written questionnaire and a practical demonstration of the above skills.
