Take your 4WD skills to the next level with our 2 day Complex Off Road Skills Course. This nationally recognised training program is designed for drivers who already have basic 4WD experience and want to confidently tackle challenging off-road conditions.

Please Note:  To participate in the training participants must provide their own 4WD with low-range gearing and have completed the following courses or equivalent: FWPCOT3325 – Operate a four wheel drive vehicle on unsealed roads and FWPCOT3326 – Recover four wheel drive vehicle.

Course Currency Status: Current

Duration:

• 2 day (16 hours) face-to-face practical training
• Optional 4–7 hours of online pre-course learning and assessment for accreditation

Delivery Mode:

• Face-to-face practical training
• E-learning included for those completing the accredited certificate

Course Times:

• 8:15 am arrival for an 8:30 am start both days (unless otherwise advised)

Availability:

• Delivered in select locations nationally (some locations may include a venue surcharge)
• Training in some states supported by trusted training partners

Certification:

• Nationally Accredited Certificate issued upon successful completion of practical and online assessments
• A USI (Unique Student Identifier) is required for certification

What You’ll Learn

This hands-on course covers advanced techniques for navigating difficult terrain, including:

• Driving in a variety of challenging environments
• Selecting the safest route for both you and the environment
• Crossing deep water
• Starting, stopping, and manoeuvring on steep inclines and declines
• Performing essential field maintenance and repairs, including puncture repairs

Participants will gain the confidence and skills to handle any off-road adventure safely and responsibly.
